Technical Product Manager (Remote - US only)

Applicants must meet U.S. export control (ITAR) eligibility: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or someone eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. A defense technology company building autonomous aircraft and command-and-control software for coordinating large groups of unmanned assets is hiring a Technical Product Manager. You will work directly with the Head of Product on the company's command-and-control platform, shaping what gets built and how it is validated. The role suits someone who writes clearly, thinks through hard operational problems, and is comfortable making sound calls when requirements are incomplete.

What you'll do

• Turn operational needs, customer feedback and technical constraints into clear product specifications covering intended behavior, workflows, system states and requirements.
• Own bounded features from early definition through design, development, feedback and validation.
• Work with the product design team to turn specifications into detailed workflows and interface designs, and review implementations against product intent.
• Lead product discussions with government customers, contractors, operators, engineers and internal stakeholders, including preparing agendas and capturing decisions and action items.
• Track feature status, decision history, customer feedback and key contractual deliverables so decisions stay traceable.
• Help prepare product reviews, demonstrations and customer discussions.

What you need

• Strong technical writing skills and the ability to turn complex conversations into clear product definitions.
• Product judgment to separate customer requests from true product requirements and to identify edge cases and unresolved decisions.
• Technical curiosity and the ability to engage meaningfully with software, systems and aerospace engineers and operators.
• Experience in technical product management, complex B2B software, command-and-control, aerospace or defense, autonomous systems, geospatial software, or government programs is especially valuable.
• Eligibility to meet the ITAR requirement described above.
