Assistant Head, Human Resources & Administration

A senior HR role based onsite in Gbagada, Lagos, supporting a multi-location organisation in the professional services and people management space. The post suits an experienced HR professional who enjoys combining day-to-day people operations with compliance, reporting and team leadership. The role carries supervisory responsibility and calls for someone comfortable balancing employee relations, payroll oversight and process improvement across sites. What you'll do

• Oversee HR operations, talent acquisition, learning and development, and site HR administration
• Manage employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters and performance improvement plans
• Monitor performance appraisal cycles to ensure timely completion
• Review payroll inputs, compensation changes and payroll accuracy
• Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory requirements and internal policies
• Supervise HR teams and consolidate HR metrics into management reports

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
• 7–9 years of broad HR generalist experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or team-lead role
• Strong experience in HR operations, performance management, payroll controls, employee relations and compliance
• Good knowledge of Nigerian labour laws, HR analytics and performance appraisal frameworks
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
• CIPM, SHRM-CP or PHRi certification is an added advantage
