Billing Associate (Remote - US only)

A healthcare technology company that provides clinical communication and physician scheduling software to medical practices, hospitals and health systems is hiring a Billing Associate. The role manages customer billing and resolves billing questions across several entities, suited to someone who enjoys working through complex billing systems on their own. The company is remote-first and states that pay will depend on experience, skills and growth potential.

What you'll do

• Manage customer invoicing, billing setup for new accounts, and billing questions raised through a help desk platform
• Review customer contracts to make sure invoices and credits are billed correctly
• Investigate billing discrepancies and process credits to resolve customer issues
• Prepare monthly billing reports in Excel, using AI tools where helpful
• Suggest and carry out improvements to billing processes
• Support special projects and annual audits when needed

What you need

• At least 3 years of billing or related experience
• Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP
• Ability to read contracts and apply complex billing terms accurately
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and organization
• Comfortable learning new software and AI tools
• Must be based in the United States
• Preferred:
• SaaS or subscription billing experience
