Senior Accountant (Accounting & AP Manager)

This fully remote role suits an experienced accounting professional who enjoys owning day-to-day finance operations. It sits with a growing lifestyle retail business that designs and sells apparel, accessories and branded merchandise across retail, online and wholesale channels. The role supports U.S.-based clients and requires availability during U.S. business hours. It suits someone detail-focused, self-directed and keen to improve accounting workflows through automation as the business scales.

What you'll do

• Maintain the general ledger, bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliations, and support month-end close
• Manage accounts payable, including invoice coding, vendor payments and payment batches
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports for leadership
• Process payroll coordination and review employee expense reports
• Support 1099s, sales tax filings and coordination with external CPAs
• Identify process improvements and introduce automation to reduce manual work

What you need

• 4+ years of accounting, bookkeeping or related finance experience
• Hands-on general ledger, reconciliation and month-end close experience
• Experience with accounts payable and vendor payment processing
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite or Xero
• Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills
• Experience with payroll platforms such as Gusto is a plus
