Business Development Officer (B2B Distribution)

A full-time business development role based in Lagos for a company that supplies products to businesses in the animal care sector. The role mixes remote prospecting with field sales across the city, with the aim of building wholesale relationships that could later extend nationwide. It suits a results-driven salesperson who enjoys face-to-face selling, works well independently, and is comfortable spending time travelling across Lagos. Candidates with prior field sales or pharmaceutical or medical sales experience, and a record of winning business-to-business customers, are well placed to apply.

What you'll do

• Research and build prospect lists of veterinary clinics, grooming salons and pet shops
• Make outreach calls and arrange appointments for field visits
• Conduct geographic sales visits across Lagos, introducing products and wholesale options
• Follow up on product samples and prospects
• Secure bulk orders under the company's minimum order quantity model
• Submit weekly sales reports

What you need

• Proven experience in aggressive field sales or pharmaceutical/medical sales representation
• Experience with B2B customer acquisition
• Strong prospecting, communication and closing skills
• Comfortable with extensive field sales across Lagos
• Results-driven and able to work independently
