Business Systems Automation Specialist

A fully remote role for someone who enjoys turning messy day-to-day operations into smooth, automated workflows. The work sits between business operations and technology, using AI tools, automation platforms and integrations to cut manual effort across customer service, production, procurement and inventory. The organisation supports U.S.-based clients and works to a Eastern Time schedule, so the role suits a self-directed professional comfortable owning projects from first analysis through to measured results. Candidates with a background in automation, business systems or solutions work, and an interest in AI-driven operations, are well placed to contribute.

What you'll do

• Analyse existing business workflows to find bottlenecks and automation opportunities
• Design and build AI-powered workflows that reduce repetitive administrative work
• Streamline customer service processes, including order handling and customer self-service options
• Support integrations between software platforms and work with developers where needed
• Own automation projects from discovery through implementation, including documentation and reporting to leadership
• Help shape a long-term AI automation roadmap for the organisation

What you need

• 5+ years in automation, software development, business systems, AI implementation or a related technical role
• Experience independently managing technical projects from start to finish
• Hands-on experience with AI tools and workflow automation platforms such as Zapier, Make or n8n
• Familiarity with APIs, databases and system architecture
• Light-to-moderate coding or scripting in Python, JavaScript or similar
• Available to work 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time, aligned with U.S. business hours
