Community Moderator (Part-time Contractor - Remote, UAE)

A global online learning platform focused on technical training in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science and cloud computing is hiring a part-time contract community moderator. You will support community managers in keeping a student learning community healthy, welcoming and on track. The role is fully online and is designed to fit alongside another job.

What you'll do

• Monitor the student forum at least twice a day, including weekends, ideally several hours apart
• Handle posts that break community guidelines and keep discussions respectful
• Give students non-technical support and direct them to the right resources
• Help community managers with occasional performance summaries and ideas to grow engagement
• Join regular online meetings with the employer's team and respond promptly in group discussions
• Help maintain an enjoyable, engaging learning environment for members

What you need

• Currently living in the United Arab Emirates
• Strong internet connection, since all duties are performed online
• Good knowledge of online community management and moderation tools such as forums and commenting systems
• Solid customer service skills and a calm approach under pressure
• Strong organization, multitasking and proactive habits
• Clear written communication and the ability to report issues when needed
• Availability across days, evenings and weekends; prior completion of an online tech course is a plus
• Selection includes a short assessment and a brief recorded video introduction
