Community Moderator (Part-time Contractor - Remote, USA and Canada)

This is a part-time external contractor role supporting the moderation of online learning communities for a large technology-focused education provider that is part of a global consulting organization. The role helps community managers keep a student forum healthy, welcoming and productive. You will work fully online and help learners get non-technical support while enforcing community guidelines.

What you'll do

• Check the student forum at least twice a day, including weekends, ideally once in the morning and once in the evening
• Give learners non-technical support and direct them to the right resources
• Review and act on posts that break community guidelines, including handling violations
• Help community managers with occasional performance summaries and engagement ideas
• Join regular online meetings with the client's representatives and respond in group discussions

What you need

• Must reside in the USA or Canada
• Good understanding of online community moderation tools such as forums, comments and content management
• Customer service mindset and the ability to stay calm under pressure
• Strong internet connection, since all duties are performed online
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a proactive approach
• Availability across days, evenings and weekends; prior graduate experience with the platform's courses is a plus
• Selection includes a short assessment and a brief recorded video introduction
