Community Partnerships Manager

This is a flexible, part-time field role in New York City for a financial wellness company launching a new product for workers who earn tips. The work centres on visiting barbershops and hair salons in person, building trust with the people there, and introducing them to simple tools for saving and investing. It suits someone who enjoys meeting people face to face, is comfortable working on foot, and cares about giving everyday workers access to financial confidence. Familiarity with barbershop or salon culture is a real advantage. The role is set for an initial three months, with scope to extend.

What you'll do

• Visit barbershops and hair salons in an assigned area on foot to introduce financial wellness tools
• Explain the product in plain, accessible language and demonstrate the app in a short conversation
• Encourage barbers and stylists to sign up on their own devices
• Keep accurate records of each visit and its outcome
• Build lasting relationships with a small number of local shops as examples of the programme
• Represent the company at industry events and host small community meetups

What you need

• A genuine interest in helping tipped workers access financial tools
• Ability to build trust quickly in a short conversation
• Good listening skills and confidence speaking to individuals and groups
• Comfort with regular outreach and resilience when responses are limited
