Social Work Team Lead (Remote - US only)

This is a leadership position for a healthcare company that provides support to people with cancer and their caregivers, working with health plans, providers and employers. You will manage a group of licensed clinical and oncology social workers who help members with complex social needs, access to care and emotional support. The role combines hands-on team leadership with clinical oversight and a strong focus on technology and data to improve care delivery.

What you'll do

• Lead and manage a team of licensed social workers, including day-to-day direction, coaching, and development planning.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex member and caregiver situations, including crisis and clinical consults.
• Monitor team queues, assignments, and quality and productivity metrics, and build coaching or remediation plans where needed.
• Lead daily huddles and case conferences to shape member support plans and care coordination.
• Track team goals, run root-cause analyses on workflow gaps, and help update policies, procedures and staffing plans.
• Share clinical expertise in medical, behavioral and crisis management, and help develop culturally competent care practices.

What you need

• Master of Social Work (MSW) with an unrestricted LCSW or LMSW license, and willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
• At least 8 years of social work experience, including about 2 years in a social work leadership role within oncology and/or case management.
• Experience supporting people with complex social needs in a healthcare setting; oncology, palliative care, care management or value-based care experience is strongly preferred.
• Certifications such as OSW, APHSW-C or CCM are preferred but not required.
• Comfort learning new technology, including video conferencing, Google Workspace, Slack and electronic health records.
• Strong communication, coaching and listening skills, and comfort working in a fast-changing environment.
