Research Analyst, Market Intelligence and Research

A contract role supporting a market intelligence and research unit at a non-governmental organisation working on digital public policy and innovation. The analyst will gather and check data, carry out desk research, and turn findings into clear, evidence-based reports and market trackers. It suits an analytical thinker who enjoys working with incomplete or conflicting information, writes concisely, and has an interest in Africa's digital economy, digital public infrastructure or digital policy. The role can be based in Abuja or carried out remotely.

What you'll do

• Collect, verify and analyse data from a range of sources
• Conduct desk research on market and policy topics
• Produce clear, evidence-based reports
• Build and maintain market trackers
• Support the unit with feedback-driven revisions to analytical work

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Public Policy, Data Science, Law, Statistics or a related field
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar analytical role
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Excellent analytical writing skills
• Familiarity with Africa's digital economy, DPI, GovTech or digital policy (advantageous)
• Knowledge of the Nigerian context (advantageous)
