Developer Success Engineer

A hybrid engineering and customer success role at a remote-first software company that builds authentication and identity tools for developers. You will help developers get started with the product, plan their implementations, and resolve technical questions, while feeding customer insights back to product and engineering teams. The role suits someone who enjoys hands-on coding and debugging, likes explaining technical ideas clearly, and wants to shape both the product and the customer experience. Occasional in-person travel for team or customer meetings may be required. Open to US-based candidates on the US East Coast time zone, excluding certain states.

What you'll do

• Guide developers through onboarding and integration, helping them design implementations that fit their needs
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and identify root causes
• Debug customer code, SDKs, and open-source libraries, and ship small, well-tested fixes
• Build new features and fix bugs across product lines
• Improve documentation and internal and external processes
• Relay customer insights to product and engineering teams to inform the roadmap

What you need

• Two or more years of hands-on programming experience in a major language
• Familiarity with modern web services and APIs
• Strong curiosity and persistence with difficult technical problems
• Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences
• Located in the US East Coast time zone and eligible to work from a state outside CT, NJ, and NY
• Helpful: experience with SAML, OAuth, MFA, or identity providers; customer-facing technical support or solutions engineering
