Technical Support Consultant (Remote, South Africa - 4-Month Contract)

A global support outsourcing company that provides customer and technical support for software, SaaS and hardware clients in 30+ countries. The team works in 60 languages across many industries. This is a short-term contract with the possibility of extending into a longer-term collaboration.

What you'll do

• Handle technical support requests by email and chat, aiming for clear, efficient and accurate replies
• Diagnose product issues and walk customers through fixes step by step
• Determine whether a problem stems from the device, the app, connectivity, setup or user configuration
• Ask targeted questions to pin down the root cause of each issue
• Follow standard troubleshooting procedures and use sound judgment when a case falls outside them
• Record interactions and troubleshooting steps clearly, and escalate unresolved technical issues when needed

What you need

• Excellent English, at C1 level or higher, in both speaking and writing
• At least one year of experience in a technical customer support role
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Tech-savvy, with good common sense and a practical approach
• A personal computer with at least 8 GB of RAM and a stable internet connection (minimum 50 Mbps download and 40 Mbps upload)
• Video support experience is an advantage
