E-Business Control Officer

A remote role in Nigeria for an internal control professional focused on digital payments. The organisation is a business payments and banking platform serving a large base of small and growing businesses. The position suits someone with a background in accounting, audit, or revenue assurance who enjoys testing how electronic transactions flow across products and channels, and who wants to help keep digital operations safe, accurate, and well controlled.

What you'll do

• Design and run control testing across electronic transaction flows, including loans, POS, web, mobile and API channels
• Monitor daily reconciliations for payment gateways, switching platforms and third-party integrations
• Review revenue assurance controls, fee configurations and settlement and suspense accounts
• Assess IT application controls, access rights and transaction limits on digital channels
• Investigate control failures and settlement discrepancies and recommend preventive measures
• Track and drive closure of control deficiencies from internal audit and external reviews

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, Finance or a related field
• 4 to 6 years' experience in internal control, digital channel auditing, e-business control or revenue assurance in fintech, switching or commercial banking
• Professional credentials such as CISA, CRISC, CISM, ACA, ACCA or similar
• Working knowledge of COSO, ISO 31000 and relevant IFRS standards
• Understanding of electronic payment channels, API controls and digital settlement
• Strong analytical, reconciliation and written communication skills
