Financial Accountant

A full-time financial accounting role based in Lagos, Nigeria, looking after the day-to-day books of a growing business. The position centres on keeping accurate records, closing each month on time, and keeping cash and customer balances under control. It suits an detail-oriented accountant with around two years of experience who enjoys structured reporting and working with both spreadsheets and accounting software. Familiarity with ERP systems is useful, and a willingness to learn ERPNext would be an advantage.

What you'll do

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records
• Manage month-end accounting activities and ensure timely financial closure
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on customer payments within approved credit periods
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain accurate financial records
• Prepare bank reconciliation and month-end financial reports

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• About 2 years of relevant experience in financial accounting
• Good knowledge of general ledger, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems
• Experience with ERPNext is an added advantage
