Payments Operations Analyst (Remote - US only)

The posting does not offer visa sponsorship. A fast-growing U.S. healthcare company that partners with employers to redesign how care is delivered and paid for. The Payments Operations Analyst sits within the Claims Operations Payments team and reports to the Payments Operations lead. The role keeps money moving accurately and on time to members, working closely with the external partners who receive those payments.

What you'll do

• Run day-to-day payment operations, including weekly payment cycles, funding, and the checks and controls that keep payments accurate and on time
• Act as a point of contact for external payment partners on file delivery, funding, error reports, and issue resolution
• Investigate payment issues end to end, identifying root causes and driving fixes with internal teams and partners
• Support new client and partner launches by setting up payment workflows and confirming they work once live payments begin
• Maintain and improve trackers, reports, and dashboards that show the status of payments work
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements, using automation and AI tools to make recurring work faster

What you need

• 1 to 4 years of experience in operations, analytics, or a similar role; payments, fintech, payroll, benefits, or healthcare operations experience is a plus
• Experience working with external partners or vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a habit of finding root causes before applying fixes
• Comfortable with financial data and reconciliations in Excel or Google Sheets
• Familiarity with file-based integrations such as SFTP, encryption, or file mapping is a plus
• Clear written and verbal communication, and comfort using AI tools to work efficiently
