Revenue Accounting & Controls Manager (Remote)

The role owns the accuracy and reporting of healthcare services revenue and accounts receivable, and acts as the link between finance, technology and operations. The position also provides independent oversight of an outsourced revenue cycle management partner.

What you'll do

• Own ledger accuracy, completeness and financial reporting for healthcare services revenue and accounts receivable, and run a reliable monthly close.
• Audit the outsourced revenue cycle partner against contractual SLAs, payment posting accuracy and claim timelines, and drive remediation plans to resolution.
• Investigate unbilled services, underpayments, claim denials and reimbursement bottlenecks, and turn billing data into root-cause fixes that improve cash collection.
• Identify integration gaps between revenue cycle systems and the general ledger, and design automated reconciliations, dashboards and internal controls for audit readiness.
• Partner with operations and technology teams to challenge data assumptions and translate findings into process and cash improvements.

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field, plus 7+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, with a concentration in healthcare revenue and complex accounts receivable controls.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606, healthcare reimbursement frameworks and claim-level mechanics.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with NetSuite, Power BI or SQL is highly preferred.
• Direct experience overseeing financial performance and SLAs for external vendors or outsourced providers.
• CPA certification is highly preferred; outpatient healthcare or physical therapy background is also preferred.
