Senior Accountant (Remote - Poland only)

This is a remote-first senior accounting role at a fast-growing AI software company with a global team. You will own the day-to-day books of the Polish entity, applying Polish statutory accounting rules alongside group reporting under US GAAP. The role also includes leading the local side of a new NetSuite module rollout tailored to Polish regulatory requirements.

What you'll do

• Maintain statutory accounting records under the Polish Accounting Act and the company's internal accounting policies, with parallel US GAAP reporting
• Work with an external partner to implement and launch a NetSuite module adapted to Polish requirements, and report issues and errors during and after go-live
• Record and review invoices, bank statements and journal support for accuracy, completeness and formal compliance
• Reconcile balances, maintain the fixed asset register, and prepare balance sheets and financial statements
• Prepare and review VAT registers and tax filings (including JPK_V7 and CIT), and take part in monthly and annual closes
• Handle contact with tax office, ZUS and GUS, support audits, and keep processes updated as regulations change

What you need

• Experience owning the full books of a Polish entity under the Polish Accounting Act (7-10 years preferred)
• Recent experience in a startup or scale-up environment
• Based in Poland
• English at least B2 level
• Hands-on knowledge of Polish tax filings such as JPK_V7 and CIT
• Bonus: familiarity with NetSuite
