FP&A Lead (Remote - Europe)

Working hours in GMT+0 to GMT+2 are preferred. Optional use of company offices in Warsaw and London. This is a first-hire position to own central FP&A at a fast-growing AI research and product company that is preparing for an IPO. The role sits with the CFO, CEO and board as the owner of the company's plan of record, covering the consolidated model, the budgeting cycle and the monthly reporting rhythm. The company has planning software, a data warehouse and dashboards in place, but the core company model is not yet built, so the work starts from the foundation. The team is small and operates with lean, autonomous working practices.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain a driver-based company model and opex model in a planning platform, consolidating inputs from commercial, product and compute finance into one model of record.
• Run the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts end to end, including headcount envelopes and G&A forecasts with budget owners.
• Set up the monthly cycle of actuals, budget vs. actuals, functional reviews and quarterly business reviews, and prepare the financial section of the board pack.
• Use the model to evaluate major investments in hiring, compute and strategic spend, bringing capital allocation discipline to large decisions.
• Turn financial results into clear recommendations for executives and the board that get implemented.

What you need

• Experience building a driver-based company model or long-range plan from scratch and using it to guide real decisions.
• Experience running a full annual budget and reforecast cycle at a high-growth technology company, presenting the results as a clear story to executives or a board.
• Strong commercial judgment, with a focus on unit economics and gross profit as well as revenue.
• Hands-on experience with a planning tool such as Pigment, Anaplan or Adaptive, comfortable with SQL and working from a data warehouse, and using AI tools in daily work.
• Based in Europe, with the ability to work in GMT+0 to GMT+2 hours. Fluent English is required.
• Bonus: usage-based or consumption revenue experience, IPO readiness or public-company FP&A, or experience building a team.
