Head, Technical Services

A senior, full-time leadership role overseeing the technical side of building operations in Abuja. It suits an experienced engineering professional who has led teams and enjoys balancing hands-on technical standards with planning, budgeting and reporting. The post is based onsite in Wuse Zone 2, Abuja, at a facilities management organisation that looks after building systems and maintenance.

What you'll do

• Set annual goals, plans and budgets for the technical services function
• Lead, manage and develop the technical team, including performance appraisals and succession planning
• Oversee building systems such as MEP, HVAC, power, generators, fire safety and life safety
• Ensure compliance with technical, health and safety and regulatory standards through inspections and audits
• Manage planned and reactive maintenance, vendors, contractors and operational costs
• Report to management on performance, risks and progress against targets

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• At least 7 years' relevant experience, including 3 to 4 years in a managerial role
• Professional certification and membership, preferably COREN or CFM
• Strong leadership, technical, planning and communication skills
• Working knowledge of health, safety and building regulations in Nigeria
