HR & Welfare Officer

This on-site role in Lagos suits an experienced HR professional who enjoys people-focused work in a growing business. The organisation is a company with a workforce of roughly 20 to 99 people, spanning production and support functions. The officer will act as a dependable HR lead, looking after the day-to-day employee experience from hiring through to development. Candidates with several years of generalist HR experience, a practical approach to fair problem solving, and an interest in staff welfare and compliance will find this a good fit.

What you'll do

• Recruit and onboard employees across production and support roles
• Resolve employee issues fairly, working alongside department managers
• Conduct performance reviews and help managers turn feedback into development plans
• Oversee payroll and employee records
• Support staff development and welfare initiatives
• Keep the business aligned with relevant employment compliance requirements

What you need

• 4 to 8 years of HR experience
• Experience across recruitment, employee relations and payroll
• Ability to handle employee concerns fairly and discreetly
• Experience running performance review processes
• Working knowledge of employment compliance in Nigeria
• Based in or able to work onsite in Lagos
