HR Generalist

A full-time HR Generalist role based onsite in Lagos, working within the human resources team of an established nonprofit organisation. The position suits an experienced HR professional who enjoys running end-to-end people operations, from recruitment and records to employee relations, compliance and policy development. The role reports to the Executive Director and offers the chance to shape HR strategy and processes in a mission-driven environment.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement HR strategies, policies and workforce planning
• Lead end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and talent pipeline development
• Oversee employee records, contracts, leave administration and payroll coordination
• Manage employee relations, engagement, retention and workplace culture
• Coordinate performance management, learning and development and succession planning
• Administer compensation, benefits and employee welfare programmes

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Psychology or a related discipline
• At least 8 years' experience in human resource management across multiple HR functions
• Recognised professional HR certification such as CIPM, CIPD or SHRM, or equivalent
• Working knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and statutory requirements
