Junior Lawyer (Remote, Contract)

A remote contract role supporting a project that improves legal AI systems. The work involves reviewing legal texts and helping build high-quality datasets that teach AI tools to reason about legal material. What you'll do

• Review and annotate legal documents, agreements and case law for clarity, accuracy and U.S. legal compliance
• Cite-check legal texts to ensure adherence to Bluebook citation format
• Curate, edit and evaluate legal writing samples for AI training datasets
• Give detailed feedback on legal arguments, structure and use of precedent
• Summarise complex legal concepts in clear, concise language
• Validate AI outputs against legal accuracy and best practice as part of quality assurance

What you need

• J.D. from a U.S. law school, or current law student with law review or journal editing experience
• Strong Bluebook citation and cite-checking skills
• Clear written and verbal communication in professional English
• Experience in document review, legal analysis or paralegal work in the U.S. legal system
• Detail-oriented and able to meet defined timelines
• Interest in technology and its application to legal research and practice
