Legal and Compliance Officer

A full-time legal role based onsite in Lagos, Nigeria, within a property and real estate business. The position suits an experienced, detail-minded lawyer who is qualified to practise in Nigeria and wants to combine legal drafting, research and negotiation with regulatory compliance work. Real estate background is welcome but not essential. Candidates who are organised, clear communicators and comfortable managing several priorities will find this a good match.

What you'll do

• Draft and review contracts and other legal documents
• Research legal and regulatory matters relevant to the business
• Support negotiations with counterparties
• Monitor and advise on regulatory compliance

What you need

• LL.B and B.L., called to the Nigerian Bar
• At least 4 years post-call experience
• Strong drafting, research and negotiation skills
• Good knowledge of contract law and regulatory compliance
• Excellent attention to detail, communication and time management
• Real estate experience is an added advantage
