Legal Counsel

An onsite legal counsel role based in Lekki, Lagos, with an oil and gas upstream and services business. The position suits an experienced lawyer who enjoys working closely with a technical, fast-moving energy sector and wants to build a long-term career in in-house legal work. The role is full-time and office-based, and is open to professionals with several years of post-qualification experience in corporate or commercial practice.

What you'll do

• Provide legal advice on business and operational matters to the company
• Support contract drafting and review for upstream and services work
• Advise on regulatory compliance within the oil and gas sector
• Work with internal teams to manage legal risk

What you need

• 5 to 7 years of relevant legal experience
• Experience in oil and gas or energy-related legal work is an advantage
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills
• Based in or able to work onsite in Lekki, Lagos
