Legal Specialist (Lagos)

A full-time legal role based on-site in Victoria Island, Lagos, supporting a business across commercial and corporate legal matters. It suits an experienced Nigerian-qualified lawyer with several years of post-call practice who enjoys contract work, regulatory advice and working closely with colleagues across the organisation. Experience in construction, engineering, energy or infrastructure sectors would be an advantage. The position is senior and suits someone who can advise confidently and manage stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Provide legal and commercial support across the business
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts
• Provide legal advisory and regulatory compliance support
• Support corporate governance and risk management activities
• Assist with dispute resolution matters
• Advise stakeholders on commercial, corporate and regulatory legal issues

What you need

• LL.B and BL qualifications
• Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA)
• 5 to 8 years' post-call legal experience
• Strong experience in commercial contract drafting, review and negotiation
• Sound knowledge of commercial, corporate and regulatory law
• Experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, energy, oil and gas or related sectors is an advantage
