Product Data Analyst, Mobile Apps (Remote, Brazil)

Candidates must live and work from Brazil and have at least 4 hours of overlap with US Eastern business hours. A talent-as-a-service firm that places Latin American developers, designers and analysts with companies abroad is hiring a Product Data Analyst for a mobile app client. You will be embedded remotely with the client's product team and own analytics for assigned mobile apps. The work centers on user activation, feature adoption, onboarding, engagement and retention, using large event datasets.

What you'll do

• Own analysis for assigned mobile apps, covering activation, feature adoption, onboarding drop-off, engagement and retention
• Translate product questions into scoped analyses and clear recommendations
• Build funnel, cohort and retention analyses in BigQuery on large event data
• Work with product managers and engineers on event tracking plans and instrumentation QA
• Run A/B tests from analysis design through results readout
• Develop and maintain SQL and dbt models, and build dashboards and self-serve reports for product owners

What you need

• 2+ years in product analytics, data analytics or a related role
• Strong SQL (CTEs, window functions, complex joins, query optimization) and hands-on BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform experience
• Working knowledge of dbt and modern data modeling; experience with a BI tool such as Looker Studio or QuickSight
• Solid grasp of funnels, cohorts, retention, event data and A/B testing (hypotheses, sample size, significance)
• Programming ability, ideally Python, and daily use of AI tools in analytics workflows
• Fluent English, with clear written and verbal communication for non-technical audiences, and comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities
