Project Manager (Storage and CNG/LNG Projects)

A full-time project management role within a capital projects organisation in the oil and gas sector, based at a head office in Nigeria with regular site travel to several locations across the country. The role focuses on delivering storage facilities and compressed or liquefied natural gas projects from engineering design through to commissioning. It suits an experienced engineer or project manager who is comfortable leading multidisciplinary teams, managing cost and schedule, and working closely with regulators to meet safety and quality standards.

What you'll do

• Oversee construction, welding, testing, safety assurance and commissioning of storage facilities
• Lead FEED, technology licensing and EPC integration for CNG/LNG projects
• Manage project controls, cost forecasts, reporting and stage-gate reviews
• Ensure HAZOP, SIL, PSSR and MOC actions are closed before hydrocarbons are introduced
• Coordinate statutory approvals with relevant regulatory agencies
• Ensure compliance with engineering, safety and quality standards

What you need

• B.Eng. or B.Sc. in Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum or Process Engineering
• 10–15 years of experience in oil and gas capital projects, including at least 5 years as a Project Manager or Lead Engineer
• Proven experience delivering pressurised or atmospheric storage facilities such as spheres, bullets or tank farms
• Knowledge of API 650/620/2510, ASME VIII, NDT standards, HAZOP, SIL and PSSR
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is an advantage
• COREN registration and FEED-to-EPC gas project experience are strong advantages
