Senior AI Developer - Agentic AI Systems (Remote, Egypt - 3-Month Contract)
A technology services firm is hiring a senior engineer to design and run production-grade agentic AI systems built on AWS and Azure. The work turns business problems into reliable multi-step agent workflows that combine large language models, tools and enterprise data. The role covers the full lifecycle from architecture and prototyping through deployment, evaluation and monitoring, and includes setting engineering standards for AI work across the team.
What you'll do
- Design and build single and multi-agent workflows with planning, tool use, memory and human-in-the-loop controls.
- Develop LLM applications on AWS (Bedrock and agent tooling) and Azure (Azure OpenAI and AI Foundry), and recommend the right platform and model for each use case.
- Build retrieval-augmented generation pipelines covering ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector search and grounding over enterprise data.
- Connect agents to internal systems, APIs and SaaS tools using tool calling and protocols such as MCP.
- Set up evaluation frameworks for quality, safety and cost, including regression tests, LLM-as-judge methods and human review, and add guardrails such as prompt-injection defences, PII handling and audit logging.
- Containerise and deploy services with CI/CD and infrastructure as code, mentor engineers and document architecture decisions.
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years building LLM or GenAI applications in production.
- Strong Python skills and experience building and operating APIs and services.
- Hands-on experience with an agent framework such as LangGraph, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, Strands Agents or CrewAI.
- Production experience with AWS or Azure AI services, plus working knowledge of the other, and practical RAG experience with vector search (e.g., OpenSearch, Azure AI Search, pgvector or Pinecone).
- Working knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes or serverless, IAM or Entra ID, CI/CD, Git and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep or CloudFormation).
