Senior Data Analyst (Credit)

This hybrid role in Lagos supports analytics across the full credit product lifecycle, from product design and credit acquisition through to portfolio management, collections and profit and loss. The post sits within a decision science team and suits a quantitative professional who enjoys turning data into credit strategy. It is aimed at a candidate with a mathematical or statistical background and several years of analytical experience in financial services, fintech or e-commerce. The work is a mix of hands-on analysis, policy review and presenting clear recommendations to senior colleagues.

What you'll do

• Analyse portfolio performance metrics to spot trends, risks and opportunities
• Review and refine credit policies, including rule-based decision engines
• Build and maintain profit and loss forecasts
• Support credit limit assignment and affordability assessments
• Run score cut-off analysis to improve approval and risk strategies
• Design and run A/B tests to improve lending and collections performance

What you need

• Academic background in a mathematical discipline such as mathematics, statistics or physics
• At least 5 years' experience as a quantitative or data analyst in financial services, fintech or e-commerce
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation
• Hands-on experience with Python or R
• Solid understanding of statistical tests used in A/B testing
• Proven experience building analytical reports or dashboards end to end
