Senior Data Scientist, Content (Remote - US only)

A senior remote data science role open to candidates based in the United States, sitting within a travel technology business that provides software and supply for business travel. The team uses machine learning and statistical modelling to inform strategic decisions and product features that shape how corporate customers and travellers experience the platform. It suits an experienced data scientist who enjoys owning projects from data gathering through to production monitoring, works well with engineering and business colleagues, and communicates findings clearly. The organisation is described as fast-paced, with high expectations and strong ownership of work.

What you'll do

• Develop data science strategies to improve machine learning models and services, such as lead scoring, churn modelling, pricing, personalisation and fraud detection
• Work with engineering and business stakeholders to turn insights into working systems with measurable impact
• Own end-to-end data science projects, including data gathering, feature engineering, model training, inference and monitoring
• Improve data infrastructure and analytics capabilities alongside data infrastructure and analyst teams
• Explain findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

What you need

• 5+ years of industry experience as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer in fast-growing environments
• Strong grounding in machine learning algorithms and statistical modelling
• Proficiency in Python (scikit-learn, NumPy, pandas) and SQL; Snowflake and Streamlit experience is a plus
• MS or PhD in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, operations research, economics, engineering or computer science
• Preference for simple, effective ML solutions before more complex approaches
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and taking initiative
