Senior Data Scientist (Remote - Latin America)

This is a remote senior data science role placed through a talent services firm that connects Latin American developers, designers and data professionals with companies around the world. The hiring client runs consumer mobile apps and web/browser products. You will own predictive modeling for lifetime value, churn and retention, and turn model outputs into decisions on user acquisition spend and personalization.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain predictive models for lifetime value, churn and retention across mobile and web products
• Own the modeling roadmap for your area, from problem framing through production deployment and ongoing monitoring
• Develop cohort and LTV models that guide acquisition budgets and payback decisions
• Design experiments and causal analyses that measure the real impact of product and marketing changes
• Apply LLMs and machine learning to classify unstructured text and behavioral signals into interest and intent categories
• Partner with data engineering to productionize models, mentor analysts and set modeling standards and documentation

What you need

• 5+ years of experience in data science, statistical modeling or machine learning, ideally with consumer app or web data
• Strong Python (pandas, scikit-learn or similar) and advanced SQL
• Experience deploying models to production and monitoring them over time, with a solid grounding in statistics, forecasting and experimentation
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, prompt design or building AI-powered data tools
• Fluent English and clear communication of complex analysis into business recommendations
• Must be based in Latin America and have at least 4 hours of overlap with US Eastern business hours
