Senior Frontend Engineer (Remote - US only)

Open to permanent US residents only, and not available in Alabama, Alaska, Delaware, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Mexico, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah or West Virginia. Candidates must be comfortable working across time zones. The employer states a minimum starting point of $150,000, inclusive of base and bonus, with final pay based on experience, skills and location. A fast-growing, fully remote software company serving millions of daily users is hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer for its distributed engineering team. You will build user-facing web applications on a stack centered on Node.js, TypeScript and React, working on a service-oriented, event-driven architecture. The role suits an engineer who enjoys working across the stack and collaborating closely with product and UX.

What you'll do

• Build engaging, high-quality web experiences for a large base of users across several web applications.
• Design and implement scalable frontend features and integrate them into a unified product and system architecture.
• Work with product and UX teams to brainstorm and evaluate new features.
• Pair with other developers, share technical skills, and help shape team and company development standards.
• Champion automated testing and take ownership of the reliability of the team's web experiences, including on-call and incident response.

What you need

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including leading large projects on high-scale web applications.
• Strong proficiency in React (or similar frameworks such as Vue or Angular), along with solid TypeScript and JavaScript fundamentals.
• Experience with web performance, accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
• Hands-on experience building web clients that consume APIs, event streams and webhooks.
• Experience debugging complex problems that span multiple systems and working in a distributed environment.
• Permanent US residency and ability to work from one of the eligible states listed above.
