Senior Integrations Engineer (Remote - US only)

A small engineering team at a logistics technology company builds the backend and partner integrations for a decision-intelligence platform focused on temperature-sensitive and high-value shipments. The work centers on data-heavy systems that turn partner and IoT feeds into dependable shipment visibility and timely risk insights. This is a senior individual contributor role with broad ownership over architecture and production systems.

What you'll do

• Design and build backend services and distributed systems for logistics orchestration and shipment risk analysis.
• Own end-to-end partner data flows, including ingesting and normalizing multi-vendor and IoT data, warehousing, monitoring, and operational support.
• Develop event-driven services and predictive workflows for risk assessment, on-time and in-full performance, and exception handling.
• Build and maintain partner-facing APIs, webhooks, queues, and other external integrations.
• Improve reliability and scalability through testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability.

What you need

• At least 5 years of backend engineering experience on scalable, distributed production systems (6 to 10 years preferred).
• Hands-on proficiency in Python and TypeScript or Node.js, plus SQL, relational data modeling, NoSQL databases, and ETL pipelines.
• Experience with IoT data ingestion, partner APIs, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, REST or gRPC APIs, and a major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong production ownership, including deployments, on-call support, security practices, and service observability.
• Must be based in the United States. Ability to work independently. Logistics, supply chain, cold-chain, or regulated healthcare experience is a plus.
