Senior Genomic Specialist (Remote - US only, Cincinnati, OH Territory)

Covers the Cincinnati, OH territory; candidates must live in the US and be able to travel within the territory. A global diagnostics company focused on cancer care is hiring a field-based Senior Genomic Specialist to promote its genomic cancer tests to clinicians. This person is the front line of customer contact, winning new business while growing existing accounts. The role is remote and centers on hospitals and clinic offices in the Cincinnati, OH territory, with regular overnight business travel.

What you'll do

• Become fluent in the clinical messaging, sample collection, ordering and shipping steps, and coverage and reimbursement points for the company's genomic tests
• Make the clinical case for the tests to endocrinologists, pathologists, ENT physicians, surgeons, radiologists and medical staff, tailored to each health system's patient care goals
• Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders across complex health systems, academic centers and multi-site groups
• Analyze territory data to build and carry out a daily and quarterly plan that meets or exceeds sales goals
• Set up repeatable ordering and sample collection processes within accounts, including patient selection criteria and logistics with facility staff
• Work with internal colleagues to maintain and grow business across the full test portfolio

What you need

• Five to eight years of experience in medical diagnostics, medical devices or biopharmaceuticals with a record of meeting or exceeding goals
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; a science degree (biology, chemistry or similar) is preferred
• Proven success selling into health systems, IDNs or academic institutions with multiple decision-makers
• Comfortable selling clinically in person or virtually in hospital and office settings; experience in a procedural environment is a plus
• Must be based in the United States and able to travel by air or car, including overnights
• Strong organization, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and attention to detail
