Senior Platform Engineer, AI Agents & Internal Apps

A senior hands-on engineering role at a remote-first DevSecOps software company, working on the platform that helps customer experience teams hand real work over to AI. The team builds agentic workflows and Model Context Protocol servers with strong testing and security practices, and the work is software engineering rather than internal IT support or customer consulting. Suits an experienced engineer who enjoys working with coding agents day to day, can take multi-quarter projects from ambiguity to production, and communicates clearly in writing. The role is fully remote, with some positions carrying location-based eligibility requirements.

What you'll do

• Use coding agents daily for planning, implementation, testing, code review and documentation, owning all code that reaches production
• Build and maintain shared agent conventions, reusable skills, hooks and CI checks for the team
• Ship multi-step agent workflows for account research, customer onboarding and status reporting, packaged for non-engineers
• Build MCP servers and connectors to enterprise systems with evaluations, tracing and human-in-the-loop checkpoints
• Evolve the internal application platform, its API gateway, AWS infrastructure and Terraform deployment path
• Prototype with business teams and mentor colleagues on agentic development

What you need

• Experience building and operating production software and designing for handoff
• Daily hands-on use of coding agents on production work
• Experience building with LLMs beyond chat, including tool use, MCP servers, agent loops and evaluations
• Strong Python (FastAPI or Flask) and TypeScript (Vue or React), including API design and authentication
• Hands-on AWS ECS, RDS and Lambda, Terraform, Docker, and single sign-on applications
• Clear written communication, including design docs and decision records
