A performance marketing agency with a strong reputation for its workplace culture is hiring a senior SEO lead to own organic search strategy for a portfolio of 4-6 clients. The role combines hands-on technical and content SEO with client-facing leadership and measurable business impact. The team is small, so senior staff are expected to shape processes and direction, not just execute tasks.
What you'll do
- Own and execute SEO strategy, roadmaps and performance across multiple client accounts
- Act as the primary SEO point of contact for assigned clients, leading recurring status and reporting calls
- Translate complex search data from tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush and Ahrefs into clear, jargon-free recommendations
- Design content systems (topic clusters, pillar pages, internal linking, schema) and write content briefs for production teams
- Test and optimize for AI-driven search and LLM-based discovery, and share findings across the team
- Support the sales team with SEO proposals and audits, and collaborate with paid media, measurement and creative colleagues
What you need
- At least 5 years of relevant marketing or SEO experience, including at least 3 years at a performance marketing agency
- Strong client-facing skills and comfort leading client relationships and presenting to stakeholders
- Hands-on experience testing optimization for AI search, not only theoretical knowledge
- Advanced proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs and Screaming Frog
- Proven ability to link SEO work to measurable business outcomes such as revenue or pipeline
- Strong project and time management skills across several concurrent accounts
