Senior Solutions Architect, AI Infrastructure Networking

A remote, full-time senior role for an experienced network architect to shape network design for AI infrastructure. The role is based in a cloud infrastructure software company that builds platforms for GPU clouds and AI factories, and sits within its office of the CTO. It blends customer-facing architecture work with hands-on research, lab prototyping and writing up findings for engineers and executives. Open only to candidates based on the US East Coast or in Europe, with some meetings outside standard local hours. Suits a senior networking specialist who enjoys both deep technical design and sharing knowledge widely.

What you'll do

• Design and publish network reference architectures for GPU clusters, from single rack to large multi-GPU fabrics
• Define east-west fabrics on InfiniBand and RoCEv2 Ethernet, including oversubscription and failure-domain choices
• Specify multi-tenant isolation using partitions, VRFs, EVPN-VXLAN and Kubernetes network policy
• Define how Linux hosts and Kubernetes expose NICs, DPUs and RDMA devices to AI workloads
• Build proofs of concept on lab and customer hardware, benchmark fabrics and automate designs
• Work with customers, hardware partners and internal engineering teams, and present findings

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years in network engineering or architecture, including 3+ years in data center, HPC or cloud networking
• Deep knowledge of InfiniBand, RoCEv2, BGP, EVPN-VXLAN and Linux networking
• Hands-on Kubernetes networking experience and prior customer-facing solutions or consulting work
• Programming or scripting skill in Python or Go, with Git and infrastructure-as-code experience
• Excellent written and spoken English, able to present to engineers and executives
