Senior Staff Data Scientist (Remote - Worldwide)

A senior data science role within the data team of a fast-growing developer platform business that helps teams build, deploy and scale modern web applications. The position centres on the full product-led growth funnel, from early activation and engagement through to conversion, retention and monetisation. The work is highly autonomous and suits an experienced analyst who can frame the right questions as well as answer them, and who works confidently with product, engineering and growth leaders. The team is fully distributed and remote-first, so strong written communication is essential.

What you'll do

• Own the analytical view of product-led growth performance across activation, engagement, conversion, monetisation and retention
• Turn behavioural insights into product bets, including what to test, how to measure it and what results mean
• Lead experiments end to end, covering study design, metrics, guardrails, analysis and recommendations
• Build scalable analytical assets such as semantic models, trusted metrics and proactive monitoring
• Identify gaps in measurement and event instrumentation, and work with Data and Engineering to close them
• Advise growth leadership on investment and roadmap decisions using evidence and product judgement

What you need

• 8+ years in product analytics, growth analytics or data science with measurable impact on outcomes
• Deep understanding of product and growth dynamics across the full PLG funnel
• Strong experimentation skills, including causal inference and statistical reasoning
• Experience building metrics layers, monitoring frameworks or semantic models
• Active, practical use of AI tools to speed up investigation and automate recurring analysis
• Excellent written communication for an asynchronous, distributed team
