Staff Accountant

A remote-first accounting role with a growing technology-focused organisation that values collaboration and inclusion. The position suits an accountant who enjoys detailed financial reporting, revenue analysis and reconciliations, and who takes pride in accuracy and meeting deadlines. It is well suited to someone with a solid grounding in accounts receivable and general ledger work who is comfortable working independently and as part of a close-knit finance team.

What you'll do

• Contribute to accurate and timely financial reporting, including general ledger revenue, receivable, expense and balance sheet accounts
• Perform reconciliations and journal entries, applying GAAP
• Build and review revenue projections in Excel
• Maintain AR aging, apply payments and follow up on collections
• Track deferred revenue and ensure revenue is recognised when earned
• Assist with month-end close, year-end audit preparation and special projects

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including index/match, XLOOKUP and SUMIF
• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable and general accounting procedures
• Excellent analytical, organisational and attention-to-detail skills
• Ability to self-manage, meet tight deadlines and communicate clearly with senior finance leaders
