Technical Specialist I (Sustainability Certification Auditor)

This remote contract role involves carrying out independent third-party audits for organisations seeking sustainability certification. The work centres on reviewing how businesses manage their environmental, social and governance practices against published standards, with a focus on accuracy, consistency and credibility. The post is part of a wider energy, biomaterials and circularity division within an international certification body. What you'll do

• Conduct technical reviews and third-party audits against certification standards and ISO 19011:2018
• Hold interviews, review documents and carry out site inspections where needed
• Identify non-conformities and areas for improvement, and provide actionable recommendations
• Prepare audit reports and support the closure of audit findings within agreed timelines
• Direct the audit process and keep clients communicating and supplying the required data
• Maintain impartiality, confidentiality and up-to-date competency records
