Account Officer

A hybrid finance role in Lagos for a detail-focused accounts professional who enjoys keeping clear, accurate books. The role sits within a finance and accounts team at a business that depends on tidy records and well-controlled stock. It suits someone organised, honest and comfortable working with numbers, whether they are early in their accounting career or have some bookkeeping experience and want to grow into a broader finance role.

What you'll do

• Record daily income, expenses, sales and purchases accurately
• Prepare payment vouchers, receipts and invoices
• Carry out regular cash and transaction reconciliations
• Track inventory movements, stock levels and discrepancies, including periodic physical stock counts
• Manage petty cash, process approved payments and keep petty cash records
• Support periodic financial reports and other finance tasks

What you need

• HND or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
• Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Good understanding of inventory and stock management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of accounting software is an advantage
• Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills
