Accountant

A full-time, on-site accounting role with a logistics and transport business based in Surulere, Lagos. The post suits a detail-oriented, trustworthy accountant who is comfortable keeping accurate books, reporting clearly, and working with limited supervision. Experience with fleet or logistics costs would be a real advantage, as the role touches fuel, maintenance, driver remittances and waybill tracking. Candidates with a solid grounding in Nigerian tax and statutory compliance will find the responsibilities a good fit.

What you'll do

• Manage daily accounting, bookkeeping and reconciliations
• Prepare financial statements, management reports and budgets
• Track logistics expenses including fuel, maintenance, driver remittances and waybills
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, invoicing and vendor payments
• Handle tax filing, PAYE, VAT, WHT and statutory compliance
• Monitor cash flow, bank transactions and inventory costs

What you need

• B.Sc or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 2 to 5 years of proven experience as an accountant; logistics or fleet experience is a strong advantage
• ICAN or ANAN certification, or in view, is an added advantage
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage and Excel
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and integrity
• Good knowledge of financial regulations and tax laws in Nigeria
