Operational Accountant

An onsite accounting role based in Atan, Ogun State, suited to an experienced accountant who wants to work closely with day-to-day operations in a manufacturing or product-led business. The post centres on keeping accurate financial records, tracking costs and stock, and turning figures into reports that help management make decisions. It is a good fit for a detail-driven professional with several years of accounting experience, ideally in a recycling or fast-moving consumer goods setting, who is comfortable with accounting software and advanced spreadsheets. What you'll do

• Manage daily accounting transactions, the general ledger and financial records
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports and cash flow forecasts
• Monitor production costs, operating expenses, budgets and profitability
• Reconcile bank statements, receivables, payables and ledger accounts
• Track inventory, raw materials, finished goods and stock movements
• Support budgeting, financial analysis, audits and internal controls

What you need

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Previous experience in a recycling or related FMCG industry
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, cost accounting and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks or TallyPrime
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; ERP experience is an advantage
