Junior Accountant (Remote - US only)

A established health IT company that provides clinical communication and physician scheduling software to medical practices, hospitals and health systems is hiring a Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations. The team is remote-first and places a strong emphasis on accuracy, growth and collaboration across Accounting and Finance. Pay within the range depends on experience, skills and the team the hire supports.

What you'll do

• Process and apply customer payments received by ACH, wire, lockbox and credit card across multiple companies and bank accounts
• Research and resolve unapplied cash, unidentified receipts, payment discrepancies and posting errors
• Prepare and enter journal entries in NetSuite with proper supporting documentation
• Produce monthly and ad hoc financial reports and review outstanding customer credits on accounts receivable aging reports
• Support the escheatment process, including researching outstanding balances and maintaining compliance records
• Perform assigned balance sheet reconciliations and assist with month-end close, working with the Collections team on customer payment issues

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 1-2 years of accounting experience, ideally in a corporate setting
• Experience with accounts receivable, cash application, journal entries or account reconciliations is a plus; NetSuite experience is preferred but not required
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Solid grasp of basic accounting principles, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines
• Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team
