Accountant

A full-time accounting role based on-site in Surulere, Lagos, with a logistics and transportation business. The job involves keeping day-to-day financial records, handling the money side of transport operations, and producing accurate reports for management. It suits a detail-oriented accountant who is comfortable working with limited supervision, has some experience in logistics or fleet-related finance, and lives within reach of the Surulere, Yaba and Mushin areas.

What you'll do

• Carry out daily bookkeeping and bank or account reconciliations
• Prepare financial statements, management reports and budgets
• Track logistics costs such as fuel, vehicle maintenance, driver remittances and waybills
• Manage accounts receivable and payable, invoicing and vendor payments
• Handle tax filings and statutory compliance including PAYE, VAT and withholding tax
• Monitor cash flow, bank balances and inventory

What you need

• B.Sc in Accounting or Finance
• 2 to 5 years of accounting experience; logistics or fleet experience is a strong plus
• ICAN or ANAN qualification, or in progress, is an advantage
• Proficient in QuickBooks, Sage and Excel
• Detail-oriented, trustworthy and able to work with minimal supervision
• Lives around Surulere, Yaba or Mushin
