Accountant – MIS & Central Reporting

A full-time onsite finance role in Lagos for an accountant who enjoys turning operational and accounting data into clear, reliable reports. The post is with a large soft commodity services business working across West Africa, with a focus on Nigeria, and supports management and board decision-making. The role suits a detail-minded accounting or finance graduate, or someone with two to three years of experience in accounting, auditing, MIS or financial reporting, who is comfortable with Excel and keen to build automation skills.

What you'll do

• Maintain central MIS workbooks and dashboards covering purchases, stock, sales, shipments, production and cash
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports, including flash reports and inventory summaries
• Support month-end close, including journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Reconcile MIS figures with the general ledger and resolve discrepancies
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documents
• Check data accuracy and completeness and introduce automation using Excel, Power Query and Power BI

What you need

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
• Minimum Second Class Upper or equivalent
• Strong Excel skills; fresh graduates may apply
• 2–3 years' experience in accounting, auditing, MIS or financial reporting (for experienced candidates)
• Progress towards a professional accounting qualification is an advantage
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems is an advantage
