Cybersecurity Engineer (Remote - US only)

This is a remote cybersecurity role with a UX research technology company that sells a SaaS platform to large consumer and enterprise brands. You will join the cybersecurity team, reporting to the VP of Compliance and Information, and help reduce risk across the company's cloud SaaS environment and internal IT systems. The role combines hands-on control design, security operations and threat monitoring, and working closely with engineering teams.

What you'll do

• Help build security into the SaaS product across the software development lifecycle, leading efforts to embed secure practices.
• Partner with engineering to design and implement controls for AWS resources such as VPCs, EC2 instances and containers.
• Expand security monitoring and SIEM coverage, and work with engineering to improve logging and auditability.
• Assess emerging threats, produce weekly threat intelligence reports, and recommend risk mitigations.
• Support incident analysis, containment and remediation alongside engineering, and help monitor and remediate vulnerabilities.

What you need

• At least 3 years of security experience, including reviewing designs and code with developers and applying the OWASP Top 10 (web and AI).
• Hands-on experience securing AWS environments and infrastructure as code such as Terraform.
• Experience implementing security monitoring and logging, and responding to attacks such as bot traffic, account compromise and data leakage.
• Working knowledge of secure CI/CD pipelines and cloud computing environments.
• Ability to document and implement security policies and processes, and to communicate clearly in writing and presentations.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and located in an eligible US state.
