Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer (Remote - Americas and EMEA)

A fast-growing, remote-first software company is hiring a senior engineer to help maintain and raise the security bar across its production cloud environments. You will design and operate secure infrastructure while working closely with senior engineers and taking ownership of well-defined security initiatives. The team protects sensitive customer data and values pace, clear async communication and results over hours logged.

What you'll do

• Find and fix security gaps in cloud infrastructure to improve resilience and reduce risk.
• Apply secure-by-default designs across data, endpoints, tooling and processes.
• Build paved-path tooling and processes that enforce least-privilege, audited access without slowing engineering teams.
• Improve Terraform configurations and audit infrastructure-as-code for security, scalability and reliability.
• Operate tools that detect misconfigurations and vulnerabilities, and drive timely patching and mitigation.
• Support incident response across detect, contain, remediate and prevent phases.

What you need

• Hands-on experience securing SaaS products and maintaining compliance with frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA/HITRUST, AWS FTR or ISO 27001.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or CloudFormation), AWS and Kubernetes, plus Python, Go or JavaScript.
• Experience with CSPM tooling, vulnerability scanners and lifecycle management solutions.
• Understanding of securing data as it moves between systems, such as column tagging or inline data sanitization.
• Strong asynchronous communication skills and ability to self-manage in a distributed team.
• Eligibility to work from a country the employer permits for permanent remote employment.
