Senior SOC Analyst

This is a senior, onsite role in Lagos for an experienced security professional who will lead day-to-day security monitoring and incident response. The work centres on spotting and investigating cyber threats, strengthening detection capabilities, and protecting critical systems and infrastructure. The role suits someone with several years of hands-on Security Operations Centre experience who enjoys both technical investigation and guiding a team.

What you'll do

• Monitor and investigate security alerts, logs and potential cyber threats
• Lead security incident analysis, response, escalation and root-cause investigations
• Use SIEM and EDR/XDR tools to detect, analyse and respond to threats
• Carry out threat hunting and improve detection rules and monitoring processes
• Prepare incident reports and recommend security improvements
• Work with technical teams to strengthen security controls and mentor junior analysts

What you need

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT or a related field
• At least 5 years of relevant cybersecurity experience, including hands-on SOC operations
• Strong experience with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk or IBM QRadar
• Good knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, incident response and threat intelligence
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and reporting skills
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, NIST or ISO 27001 (an advantage)
